Windrush 2024

Supported by the Welsh Government through Race Council Cymru, NIWA took the opportunity to design a National Windrush @ 76 project to educate our Nigerian community members and their families on the history of the Windrush Generation. Many of our members have recently moved to Wales and do not know the true story of the Windrush Generation. This project provided an opportunity to engage the community members in a Windrush celebration that educated adults and inspired children and young people to create original imagery and written work in response to Windrush @ 76.
